This coat is amazingly warm, and has very pretty detailing which makes it look much smarter than many of the down coats around. The lines are slim, though the coat is not tight (can go over jackes easily) and so is flattering. It was also very well-priced

There's nothing "luxury" about this product - very poor quality and not true to size - the small fit me as if it were a medium to a large. On top of all this, I returned the item expecting a prompt refund, but when I called 5 days after I confirmed they received it, Luxury Lane's customer service very rudely told me to wait up to ten days... I specifically asked the woman WHEN I should call back and she told me Wednesday (ten days, not ten business days) so that's what I did, I called back today, Wednesday, and of course I am told it's ten BUSINESS days so now I have to wait until Friday. If I do not have my refund by Friday, I'm reporting this company to the BBB. Never again will I do business with this company, never ever again!

I bought this in black and chocolate and it is so warm, and true to size. My daughter loved it so much I gave her the black one; too bad there are no more black coats available at this time, otherwise, I would order another.

This coat is exactly as it appears! I ordered a S after reading the reviews (usually an M - 34D, 5'5", 130ish lbs) and it is PERFECT! Goes down to about mid-lower calf. Very warm and snuggly, but not too snug. I like the cinching action on the sleeves and in the back, so I don't look like I'm in a cocoon. The side vents are nice too (at the bottom, zipper open). The collar buttons closed so no need for a scarf. The color is beautiful and the fabric is soft (and doesn't make the "swooshy" sound). It also came super fast with regular shipping. I am very pleased!

I love how the coat fits and how warm it is, and it has a lot of options with zippers, pulls, etc.. to get the perfect fit. It is however made kind of cheaply. I guess you get what you pay for! My zipper already broke and I had to sew it back on in 2 places, but overall it's an OK coat.

I bought this coat in July, determined not to be cold again. Now, it's December and it has turned cold the last few days. This coat is very warm...warm enough to make me smile in the cold. My only concern is whether or not the zipper will stand the test of time. It is behaving fine so far, but those double zippers always feel a bit squirmy to me. Love, love, love this warm coat, though!

I have been looking for a long coat for quite a while because I have a tendency to freeze easily. Ironically, I'm sitting at home with this same coat on. I read a couple reviews on it and felt like it was going to be a toss up as to whether or not it would be a worthwhile purchase/investment. To me, $100 is quite a bit to spend on anything, especially a piece of clothing.Bought the coat and it did take a bout two and half weeks to get here but I tried it on instantly. I am not much of a 'girly girl' so when it seemed to emphasize curves, I felt a little awkward. There is a big "fluff" around where the collar would be and it buttons together to keep your neck warm. I didn't discover that until about two weeks later, but it's definitely a nice feature. Right now, I have endured temperatures in the single digits with this coat (have had it since Nov 2010) and it has served it's purpose astonishingly well. In those single digits, however, I have had to wear a jacket underneath it. As far as the size goes, not sure what 'average size' is, but for me, it is a little bit too big, which has been a plus for the jacket underneath. (Ordered a Small, I'm a 0-2 depending on clothing brands). As far as length goes, I am five foot nothing so for me, this coat comes down about three inches from the top of my tennis shoes. You do the math cuz I don't want to. :)There are tassles on the lower arms of the coat, in the back, and by the collar. These are cinches for you to adjust the shape of the coat. Personally, they got to be very irritating to me and started feeling like a hazard, even uncinched completely. They constantly were catching in the window slots of my car and in shopping carts and every where you wouldn't ever notice previously. I would up pulling up the little metal piece cutting the nylon strings shorter in length *arms only* and knotted them, then burned the ends (if you burn the end of nylon, it helps it not fray and come undone.). Now, there are no problems.One other problem I had was that the pockets came unseamed at the tops. I have had to go in and re-stitch about an inch up. Since then, however, I have seen no other problems. *NOTE: I fill my pockets with quite a bit, medium amount of keys, wallet, change, smokes, lighter and a knife--probability of the popped seams is due to 'over filling'.)Overall:A few inconveniences but if you are trying to avoid spending three hundred dollars for a similar coat, and are willing to fix the five minute fixable problems on the coat, it is DEFINATELY worth the money. It's warm, its comfy, gets lots of complements, feels pretty sexy, and long enough to keep cold legs moderately warm. * * I like this coat enough I'm buying a second one intended to give to my mother, but unsure if I want to keep it for myself for a failsafe. Love this coat!!

Received this coat today so I haven't taken it outside in the freezing cold yet. However, it seems very warm. When I tried it on I had to take it off only after a few minutes because it was so warm. It is very stylish and fits true to size. I was a bit worried because the one bad review about the coat being too big. I am normally a size 6 and the size small fits me perfectly. UPDATE: after the first day the button that holds the collar shut fell off and left a hole in the coat. Not the quality I would expect for this price. I emailed the seller and they never got back to me:( I guess because I already had left positive feedback they did not feel that they had to get back to me. I did get confirmation from Amazon that the email was received. In addition after a week of wearing the coat the zipper detached at the bottom from the coat leaving a big hole. DO NOT BUY THIS AND DO NOT DEAL WITH THIS SELLER.
